In a Nutshell

I am a Doylestown-based web designer and front-end developer with a background in public relations. From creative and quirky to clean and professional, my designs incorporate my clients' needs with an enhanced user experience. In addition to my work, I also enjoy sharing the joy of code with others as an instructor for the Bucks County chapter of Girl Develop It.

Parsons School of Design (New York, NY): In May 2010, I completed the Graphic and Digital Design Certificate Program. Design courses included color theory, illustration, typography and working with Adobe Creative Suite.

The University of Georgia (Athens, GA): I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in May 2006. Major: Public Relations. Minor: Drama.

Experience

Havis, Inc. - Marketing Designer - Interactive
August 2010 - Present

Major Projects: Redesigned, restructured and built the Havis website. Managed the migration of this site into a CMS (Joomla) and created various PHP templates. Designed and developed mobile site and the Havis Equipped Blog.

Additional Responsibilities: Creating new product landing pages, blog entries and e-mail blasts. Managing website and navigation updates and implementing SEO strategies. Designing and ordering Havis sales collateral.

Public Relations

WCG - Account Coordinator
October 2006 - July 2008

Responsibilities: Drafted/edited press materials, secured media placements and kept clients abreast on industry news. Contributed to new business pitches through extensive research.

PR for Havis: Writing press releases, pitching media contacts and compiling Havis and competitor media reports.
